My Drive-Thru
Converse commisioned Pharell, Santogold, and Strokes-frontman Julian Casablancas to collaborate on a track dedicating itself to the infamous Chuck Taylors.
I’m sure you have seen the commercial/music video on TV. I wish more companies would jump on this trend. Yeah it’s obvious niche market targeting, but, because they use the artists to do something they are good at it actually works. Unlike the McDonalds commerial with a bunch of “urban” types scratching records and all of the sudden they are eating Big Macs, that shit annoys me. Nice work Converse, Scion’s A/V department has been killin it as well when it comes to commisioning musicians. I can dig that.
